MAHU Legislative Committee
This committee helps provide the voice of our industry and MAHU to our legislators at both the state and federal levels. It conducts the following activities:
- Communicate with NAHU on items happening at the state level or the federal level.
- Articulate and communicate MAHU views on health care benefits.
- Collate and coordinate opinions and feedback from MAHU members.
- Amplify the “voice” of MAHU members and clients.
- Maintain contact with our legislatures in Washington, DC.
- Attend Capital Conference in Washington, DC each year.
- Work with our state lobbies here in MN.
- Attend and actively participate in “Day on the Hill” at the State Capital.
- Stay connected with NAHU through monthly calls with the NAHU Legislative Regional Meeting.

The Professional Health Insurance Agents’ World:
MAHU, NAIFA, MIIAB
The “Agents’ World” is designed for agents to promote what we do. Along with members of NAIFA-MN and MIIAB, MAHU agents use this graphic device to show clients, media, elected officials, and others, the key role agents play in the health care system. Print it in color, or black and white, and hand it out to clients.
