Description: Direct Primary Care (subscription-based primary care) is a new model of healthcare payment and delivery, that’s been growing quickly over the past several years. This model seeks to remove the barriers associated with seeking everyday care, namely inconvenience and high costs, and instead provide individuals with the most convenient and affordable everyday healthcare possible. The model has been growing quickly over the past several years, and is now covering an estimated 20M Americans. During this discussion, we will discuss why this model exists, how it can lower healthcare costs, and how it can improve patient health and care experience.
